Dr. Chynn Answers Questions on Laser Vision Correction Post-op Healing Time from a Busy Traveling Professional.

Dr. Chynn,

Thanks for spending some time with me yesterday during my evaluation. I’m hoping to schedule the procedure but with the holiday season coming up, I have a pretty heavy travel schedule. Just wanted to ask you a few questions before scheduling the surgery:

Q. Aside from the office visit to remove the temporary contact lens 4-5 days after the procedure, what are the other post-surgery office visits that I should be aware of?

  1. You should be seen in my office 1 day, 4 days, 1 month, 2-3 months, and 1 year post laser vision correction surgery.

  1. How quickly can I get on a plane after the surgery? Does it matter?
  1. One week post surgery is perfectly safe.

I look forward to seeing you!
