Good Canidate For LASEK?

Below is a question for Dr. Emil Chynn, New York LASIK Surgeon.

Hi Dr Chynn, Thanks so much! I really do appreciate you putting my cards out. No one has called yet, but that happens.  I’ve passed out about 10 of your business cards to people I know who wear contacts and/or glasses and I’ve told everyone what great results I’ve had.

Here’s someone in particular who may be interested in getting LASEK sooner than later. His name is Ken. According to
him, his prescription is a -10 prescription for his contacts. I will definitely recommend you to anyone who wants LASEK done.

Thanks!
Atina

Dear Atina,
Thanks for your referral:)

Ken

Your prescription of -10 is too high to get LASIK, the old-fashioned cutting procedure, which would either go too deep into your eye, or leave you with a residual Rx of -2, which is not what you want. However, it is easy for me to laser a -10, and I do this every week, as many patients come here for LASEK or epi-LASEK, since they are too high for the cutting LASIK. Please visit our office site at Park Avenue Laser for more about me and these newer procedures. Then call my office for your free consultation so we can explain everything to you. Atina had LASEK and noncutting is actually much safer for everyone.

Thanks and see you soon!
