Dr. Chynn and Park Avenue Laser help raise $2,000 for Relief Fund
Dr. Chynn and www.ParkAvenueLaserVision.com, in conjunction with www.Execulife.com, successfully raised $2,000.00 for the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund (http://cantorrelief.org), which has raised and distributed over $175 million to over 800 families and 950 children victims of the 9/11 tragedy. Recently, the Relief Fund has expanded its scope to include natural disasters such as hurricanes in the Gulf Coast.
Dr. Chynn was one of the 1st MD’s to volunteer at Ground Zero on 9/11, set up the 1st Triage Center at Ground Zero, and was interviewed on national TV about the medical volunteers working that week, so he has a very personal interest in 9/11 charity work
The winning patient was Kristin Mitchell, who is a Marketing Manager at www.Avon.com. Kristin was actually at Dr. Chynn’s center for her free consultation a few months ago, and took this opportunity to both save money and give her money to a worthy cause. We wish to commend Kristin for her generosity, as she actually “overbid” for this auction item, winning it for $2,000 when she actually could have won it for less, but she wanted to donate more!
We would also like to acknowledge the generosity of www.amo.com and www.visx.com, the makers of the VISX Star S4 IR laser that Dr. Chynn owns, which is, by far, the market leader in laser vision correction, having lasered more eyes in the US than all other brands combined! VISX/AMO has donated free royalty treatment cards for Kristin’s procedure (which normally cost Dr. Chynn $1,000), so that we can then donate $1,000 more to the Cantor Relief Fund, for a total of $3,000.00 instead of $2,000.00.
Thank you everyone for participating in this worthy cause, and thank you for its success! Kristin will be having her procedure next month, and we will invite all the bidders to attend, as they will be receiving a coupon for $100 off their laser vision correction surgery just for bidding!
