Dr. Chynn responds to a patients querie
Carlin asks Dr. Chynn: My eyes were 9.0 in 1999 so I had lasik in Va. but now my eyes
need contact lens. Is lasek possible after lasik? Does it last and for how long? Would this be safer than another lasik?Dr. Chynn: It is common to have a residual Rx after such a high Rx. You Cannot have another lasik. The lasik will go too deep into your eye causing it to be too think after which you may develop keratoconus. The only thing you can do after a lasik surgery for such a high Rx is a lasek enhancement. I suggest you do not perform lasek on your non- dominant eye so you can avoid reading glasses for another decade. I will show you both options when you come in.
Please call my office to schedule a secomd opinion form me and afx our office your insurance card so we can clear it. Since free consultations are only for patients who have not already been lasered, I will see you for free and bill your insurance company for the visit.
I guarantee you that I can enhance your dominant eye to where you see 10x better than you do currently!
I look forward to meeting you,
Emil William Chynn, MD FACS MBA
