Miopy at 26 Years - Is LASEK OK?
Q: If my miopy doesn’t stop growing, the LASIK procedure will be OK? I mean, if the miopy doesn’t stop and I make this procedure, is there the risk of turning back to the beginning? That’ s all I want to know.
A: This is not a big Rx, mine was -7.50 - 1.50 x 180, or 2x worse myopia than yours, plus i had significant astigmatism, which you do not.
Based on your age your myopic progression is already slowing down, and will stop in a couple of years. I base my treatment parameters on age and profession, so based on your age of 26 and legal profession, we would simply overshoot your Rx a bit, so when you stop progressing your Rx is stable at 0!
